During a 3 year break from producing instructional DVDs, his cinematic and editing skills were honed to the point where content produced by him was included in a screening aired at the 2011 ATSE Clunies Ross Awards in Brisbane where he was a personal invitee of Bruce Candy, the well deserved recipient of this prestigious award. It was a moment of immense pride and satisfaction as Mr Candy publicly acknowledged Jonathan's long involvement in the product development process of Minelab's metal detecting technology (as well as describing him as a 'larrikin prospector' in the presence of the Governor General!) and one which will remain the highlight of his detecting career.
